From an educational research project to a functional digital platform.

2eXe was developed as part of my Master’s thesis and proposes a training programme for Secondary Education teachers aimed at improving the identification of and educational response to female students who may present twice- or multiple-exceptional profiles.

The programme is not designed to turn teachers into diagnosticians, but to strengthen observation, reduce barriers and coordinate educational responses through four key actions: understand, observe, adjust and coordinate.

The challenge

Turning a complex methodology into a usable system

The project needed to operate on several levels at once: as a training programme, as a set of tools for teachers and as a digital platform providing access to content, practice activities, documentation and progress tracking.

The main challenge was structuring a large amount of information without unnecessarily increasing cognitive load, while maintaining a clear distinction between educational observation and diagnostic interpretation.

The digital platform is an integral part of the programme itself and was conceived as a resource for guided practice, decision-making and access to materials throughout the training process.

A tool for better observation, not for labelling.

My contribution

Original content

I developed the training content, information architecture, visual identity, educational documentation and working tools.

Design and tools

The system includes questionnaires, training modules, a case bank, library and document repository, observation and adjustment tools, tracking features, notifications, reminders and reports, among other elements.

Development and implementation

The web application includes user management, role- and user-based analytics, an accessibility widget, cohort management, content management and editing, and import/export tools.

AI as a platform development tool

Extending technical capabilities without outsourcing the decisions

I used ChatGPT as a development copilot to generate and iterate code, troubleshoot technical issues and accelerate the implementation of specific features.

The architecture, content, visual system, experience structure, functional decisions and validation of the results remained under my direction throughout the process.

This approach allowed me to turn an initially academic idea into a functional digital product without separating design and execution into different teams.

04.

Outcome

The project brings training, documentation, educational tools and a digital interface together within a single system.

My Master’s thesis received a grade of 9.6/10 and was submitted for the Universidad Pablo de Olavide National Award for the Best Master’s Thesis on Gifted Education.
